Sanitation & Recycling
The Town of Mountain View contracts with Veterans Waste Solutions for solid waste collection. Garbage collection occurs Wednesdays. It is recommended to have your polycart pulled to the curb the night before. All trash must be bagged and fit inside of the polycart. Cardboard boxes need to be cut down and placed inside polycart.
The Town dump is open on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm, with the exceptions of holidays and possible weather issues. Dump passes must be purchased from Town Hall prior to dumping. No money will be accepted at the dump. No pass no dump. You can also ask for an appointment to dump if you are needing access on a weekday. These appointments are based on the availability of the dump attendant or PWA workers. The dump fees are as follows:
*MV resident with water/sewer/garbage service
trash - $10 per load
limbs - $5 per load
* MV resident without water/sewer/garbage service
trash - $20 per load
*Any citizen outside the 73062 zip code
trash - $50 per load
LIMBS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM RESIDENTS WITH WATER/SEWER/GARBAGE SERVICE
